Group Walk May 2026
Thursday 14th May 10:00am
The May walk on Thursday 14th will be from Sheringham Park out to the coast and back. It will be about 5/6 miles. Rhododendrons should be blooming. Meet in the car park at 10 am (National Trust members park for free). Shared travel could be considered. We plan to have lunch in the Reading rooms at High Kelling. The parish name, Topcroft, is very probably derived from 'the croft or enclosure at the top'. The church stands on one of the highest points in South Norfolk and the top of the tower has been used as a principal observation point by the Ordnance Survey.
